Nursing AS Program
Selection Criteria​
Admission to the nursing program is competitive. Selection is determined by a cumulative point system that is based on applicable college courses and grades, and the ATI TEAS scores.
If you qualify but are not accepted during the selection process, you may be assigned to a prioritized waiting list based on the above criteria. You may be subsequently admitted if an opening becomes available prior to the beginning of the fall semester. The waiting list will be discarded six weeks prior to classes beginning. If you still desire admission you must reapply for the following year. For more about Admissions Decisions, please see “Types of Admissions Decisions.â€
Admission Requirements
You must completeÌýthe following college admission requirements and provide documentation for admission consideration:
- Complete an application for the Nursing program.
- Provide proof of satisfactory completion of high school Algebra, high school Biology and high school ChemistryÌýwith a grade of C or better. If your transcript indicates a numerical grade point average with no grade equivalent, a minimum of 73.33 is required.
- Complete theÌýTest of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) of Assessment Technologies Institute (ATI) with a Total Score of 66% or better.
Special Consideration points are given to an applicant who:
- has completed the following college-level courses: Anatomy & Physiology I with lab, Anatomy & Physiology II with lab, and Microbiology with lab, with a minimum of a “C†or better and must have been taken within 8 years prior to the start of Nursing classes.
- has completed the following college-level courses: Introduction to Psychology, Human Growth and Development, 91¶¶Òõ Essentials, with a minimum of a “C†or better.
- is currently enrolled in 91¶¶Òõ’s Pre-Nursing Program.
To provide you with the most current and comprehensive information about our programs, prospective nursing students are encouraged to attend aÌýNursing Information SessionÌýoffered four times a year and heldÌýin-person, on-campus,Ìýduring college-wide Open House events. Applicants who attend receive specific nursing application materials and step-by-step submission instructions for priority processing. This is a great opportunity for prospective students to come and ask questions about the application process and curriculum.

The ATI TEAS Exam
The ATI TEAS Exam was developed to measure skills in the areas of reading, math, science and English language usage. It is a statistically significant predictor of early nursing school success. SeeÌý for information about preparing for the test. NOTE: TEAS Exam must be taken at an in-person exam site.
New for the Fall 2027 application cycle, 91¶¶Òõ will only accept TEAS Exams scores that have been taken at an in-person exam site. TEAS score must now be received directly through ATI.ÌýRemote proctored scores will no longer be accepted.
- Time limit is 209 minutes.
- Four option multiple choices with 170 total questions.
- Computer based.
- A 4-function calculator is provided within the test software.
- The cost of the ATI TEAS proctored exam varies by where you take your exam. On average, the cost of the ATI TEAS Exam is $115.
- You must achieve a total score of 66% or higher on the TEAS exam to be considered for candidacy.
- You are permitted to take this test three times in an application year; no sooner than four (4) weeks between attempts.
- Test scores are valid for a period of two years – in person exams only, remote proctored scores will not be accepted.

91¶¶Òõ gives you the option of taking the TEAS Exam on campus with 91¶¶Òõ proctoring. Priority will be given to students enrolled in 91¶¶Òõ’s Liberal Arts Pre-Nursing Program and students who are planning to apply for 91¶¶Òõ’s Nursing Program.

LPN to RN/Advanced Nursing Bridge Program – Existing LPNs Only
Admission to the LPN to RN program is competitive. Selection is determined by a cumulative point system that is based on applicable college courses and grades, and your NLN NACE exam score.
Your completed nursing program application must be submitted by January 15th to be considered for acceptance for the summer. The program begins in summer (May) and runs through the following spring.ÌýSubmission of a completed application is your responsibility. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Admission Requirements
You must completeÌýthe following college admission requirements and provide documentation of the following criteria for admission consideration:
- Complete an application for the Advanced Nursing program.
- Upload a copy of your current LPN license (with expiration date) to your application under supplemental forms.
- Provide proof of satisfactory completion of high school Algebra with a grade of C or better. Students who have successfully completed MATH145 at 91¶¶Òõ or a comparable college level math may have the high school algebra pre-requisite waived.
- Successfully complete ALL first semester non-nursing courses prior to January 15.
**Please note that:- Applicable Anatomy and Physiology courses must have been taken with a lab.
- All science courses must have been taken within 8 years prior to the start of Nursing classes.
- All courses must be completed at a regionally accredited institution in order to transfer.
- Successful completion of A&P II, Human Growth and Development and Microbiology with a minimum of a “C†or better no later than May 15.
- Two (2) professional references on 91¶¶Òõ specific reference forms are required. Through the application, submit the names of the persons you have selected to evaluate you. Then circulate the PDF reference form below to the persons. Once the form has been completed, the evaluator must scan and return the form via email to [email protected]. References emailed from the applicant will not be accepted.
- Complete theÌýNLN Nursing Acceleration Challenge Exam (NACE)ÌýI: Foundations of Nursing with a required overall percent correct score of 70% or better.

NLN NACE I Foundation of Nursing Entrance Exam
If you are applying for the LPN to RN Completion Option, you are required to complete the National League for Nursing (NLN) Nursing Acceleration Challenge Exam —ÌýFoundations of Nursing Exam (NACE I). This exam is proctored remotely via the National League for Nursing. Please refer toÌýthis student guideÌýfor more information about creating your NLN account, purchasing preparation materials, practice exams, taking your actual test and accessing your scores.
IMPORTANT NOTE!
- Test scores are valid for one application year only.
- Testing is limited to twice per application year with a minimum of 30 days separating each exam.
- You must obtain a minimum decision score of 70 or higher to be considered for admission.
The NACE I includes content related to nursing care to meet basic physiological and psychosocial needs. NACE I questions are written in the framework of the nursing process. This reflects the current approach for providing care to clients.

Liberal Arts Pre-Nursing Pathway
TheÌýLiberal Arts Pre-Nursing PathwayÌýis designed for students preparing to apply to 91¶¶Òõ’s Nursing A.S. program. This option allows you to complete science, co-requisite, and transferable courses while staying on track for nursing admission. Pre-nursing students receive support through the Academic Advising Center, which offers semester planning and guidance on the admissions process. Additional resources include Brainfuse tutoring in Nursing and Allied Health, plus TEAS exam preparation. Students interested in the Pre-Nursing Pathway can apply to the program at any time with a copy of their high school transcript or equivalent.
Types of Admissions Decisions
At 91¶¶Òõ, you can receive one of four decisions on your nursing application:
You have been accepted into the nursing program. To secure your spot in the program, submit your non-refundable $100 tuition deposit to the Bursar’s Office no later than April 1st.
You have not been admitted in the first round of applicants, but you have been added to our prioritized waitlist. You may be contacted should any of the accepted students notify us of their intent not to attend.
Your application met the minimum standard and was reviewed, but there were not enough seats available in the program. We encourage you to apply for our Liberal Art Pre Nursing Track Program to complete more of your prerequisites and apply for the next admission cycle.
Your application was incomplete by the time of the deadline (ex. No TEAS score submitted) or other circumstances have arisen. We encourage you to apply for our Liberal Art Pre Nursing Track Program to complete more of your prerequisites and apply for the next admission cycle.
Upon Acceptance
It is understood that acceptance is conditional upon submission of satisfactory evidence in the form of the following documents no later than four weeks prior to the beginning of the semester:
- Submit a report of a current (within 1 year prior to beginning first Nursing course) physical examination, including required health screening and all immunizations/titers (as indicated on the physical examination form).
- Possess and maintain personal health insurance. When enrolled in the nursing program, you must notify the Director of any changes with healthcare coverage.
- Possess and maintain professional liability insurance. This professional liability insurance coverage is an annual fee through 91¶¶Òõ.
- Acquire and maintain certification in BLS for Healthcare Providers.
- Complete a criminal background check (through college’s approved vendor) with satisfactory results (cost to be incurred by student). 91¶¶Òõ’s background check is due within 21 days after attending the mandatory nursing program orientation. All students will repeat the NH State Police criminal background check prior to their senior year.
- Complete drug testing through college’s approved vendor. You may also be required to provide an additional criminal background check and drug testing throughout the course of the program based on clinical facility requirements.
Readmission Policy
If you matriculate in the Nursing program but withdraw or do not achieve the required minimum grade in the Nursing or science courses and are not able to continue in the program you may be eligible for readmission consideration. You may be readmitted to the Nursing program one time only. Readmissions are contingent upon space availability. When you are applying for readmission you will be required to meet the curriculum requirements in effect at the time of readmission. In order to be reconsidered for admission, you must meet with the Director of the Department of Nursing and follow these steps:
- Readmission for NURS111M:
- Request opportunity to reapply
- Readmission for NURS112M, 211M and 212M:
- Outline the reason(s) you were unable to continue in the program and your plan for successful completion of the program.
- Submit a written dated letter requesting readmission to the Director of the Department of Nursing and identify which Nursing course you are requesting readmission for.
If you have failed a Nursing course because of unsafe practice involving actions or non-actions, you may or may not be eligible for readmission to the Nursing program.
